At Chosen Hope Counseling, the word hope is more than a name. It is something we believe can be held onto—even when life feels unbearably heavy.

We know that sometimes people who are struggling don’t look like they are struggling.

They keep showing up.They take care of everyone else. They go to work. They smile. They say, “I’m okay.”

But privately, they may be exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected, or wondering if things will ever feel different.

If that’s you, please hear this: you do not have to figure everything out today. You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to be “bad enough” to ask for help.

You just need to take the next step.

And if you’re worried about someone you love, don’t be afraid to ask.

“Are you okay?”“You seem like you’ve been carrying a lot. Want to talk?”“Are you thinking about hurting yourself or suicide?”

Sometimes, simply knowing that someone noticed can be the beginning of hope.

Therapy cannot erase every difficult circumstance, but it can provide a safe place to slow down, be heard without judgment, understand what you’re carrying, and begin finding a way forward.

You are not a burden.Your pain is not too much.Your story is not over. There is still room for things to change.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out. Talk to someone you trust. Connect with a mental health professional. You don't have to walk through the hardest moments alone.

At Chosen Hope Counseling, we believe that sometimes hope begins with simply having a safe place to say, “I’m not okay.”

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to reach out, let this be it.You don’t have to wait until you’re in crisis to ask for support.

📞 If you are experiencing a mental health or suicide crisis in the U.S., call or text 988.

🚨 If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

There is hope. And sometimes, when you can’t find it for yourself, someone else can help you hold onto it until you can see it again.
